Pros
Lax dress code You can choose your own schedule You can eat inside the School
Cons
I had an issue with the company and went to the Tokyo Labor Bureau. I showed them the contract and was told that "this isn't a contract, it doesn't say employee on it, it says lesson partner" so I had no proof I was an employee there and could do nothing about the bullying I had received from the staff at b-cafe. Secondly, you get paid for lessons and you get paid for non lesson time but the non lesson time pay is 500 yen for 45 minutes. According to Japanese labor law the minimum pay is 1,013 yen per HOUR. Even if you don't have anything to do, if you are at the school and have to stay there then you have to be paid. Know your rights. On a final note, the owners of this company have got in trouble before for removing earnings from staff's monthly salary. Check your payments carefully. Staff members have quit in mass due to treatment by the owners. Avoid this place at all costs.
