Pros
Work environment is OK in relation to technical equipment, working hours and standard employee' s needs to execute work related tasks. In general the employees of Operations or Finance Depts. know their jobs well, lot of them work for the company for many years. Salary is market-segment average, not bad.
Cons
Top management not acting in line with what the owner (CEO) presents as the vision and strategy to all staff. In fact top management on FIN and IT acts in a way that prevents any tries for improvement changes to as-is status. Even they formally talk about needed improvements, they are not in reality willing to change current processes that are somehow working but in highly inefficient way. They are not taking the leading role in changes needed, as it would be expected. Not recommended for individuals that are used to work in transparent environment with clear rules, rights and responsibilities for achieved/not achieved goals. Management and also staff in general is completely unaware how the sound project management and teamwork should work. Understaffed IT (overstaffed with "managers", but understaffed with real IT specialists, specially SAP ones) blocks most of the process improvements efforts, since there is nobody to change good ideas to reality, so finally people involved become frustrated over the time. Not very good interpersonal relationships between departments - not acting as 1 team. Each department acts as separate world (using even different internal communication tools as 1 example). This results in lot of ineffective meetings and projects that are started but where goals are never achieved.
