Pros
- Great and proven product market fit - there is a huge market out there that needs this technology. - Big opportunity for personal growth. In my first year at Daisee I've probably learnt more than in my entire previous career. - Smartest team. People you work with are super smart and bright. It was a privilege to be part of this team. - Richard (Daisee's CEO) does not micro manage his team/managers and provides lots of freedom. I can't imagine any other place where I'd be given so much autonomy in my role to run the Product development. And that was really empowering.
Cons
- Startups are hard in general. There may be lots of uncertainty at times. - There is some divide between commercial and technology parts of the business. That said, this was drastically improved in the recent months with our new Head of Engineering closing the gap. - In my humble opinion, some of the previous senior management did not have a capability to lead the business. While they are not with the company any more, quite a lot of time and great talent was lost.
