Pros
This isn't like every other place I've worked. At some point we all end up working somewhere where ownership/management couldn't care less about the individual employees. Where the culture is all one-sided, shut-up-and-do-what-you're-told, soul-sucking or just plain boring.
This isn't one of those places.
This is a fun place to work with a fun group of people. You will not be micromanaged here. Management cares about the quality of work that is done here, but they also care about how the employees feel while they're doing it. It's all abut the employees here. Creativity is encouraged and ideas are welcomed and given genuine consideration. Ownership has specific goals for the company and anyone who can help get the company there is encouraged to jump in lend a hand regardless of what your job title or department is. You have a real opportunity to contribute here. That's not just something said to sound appealing, it's a big part of the culture. When I look at the clock towards the end of the day, I'm not counting down the minutes until quitting time, I'm making sure I don't stay too late. I can't remember the last time I had a job where I felt like that. Benefits are great and the pay is right where it should be. Ownership and management have their sleeves rolled up and are working in the trenches with the rest of us so you will work closely with them and be recognized for your efforts. Does your company take all the employees and spouses on cruises and other fun trips? This owner is known to do that from time to time.
