Pros

I honestly can not think of anything good beyond a paycheck. Even then, I told them my minimal rate, only to have them undercut it by a few bucks after they offered me the job.

Cons

They demand highest productivity, but do not even give you the needed tools to accomplish the most basic task. The most veteran tech has only been there for 2 years. In that time he told me that dozens of people have come in, and left. Then you are faced with a pushy ambiguous in her position person micro managing what you do... when she does not know anything. I was only there a week, and I witnessed just about everyone make small mistakes, and get yelled at... the largest mistake was the ambiguous woman, and she did not get the standard belittling from the owner. She was described as a baby momma, but it was my impression that she was a family member. Regardless, that is the double standard you can exspect.

Working at an MSP requires more than a desire to earn more money. It takes passion, prowess, and a tenacity to customer service. MSP's are generally very fast paced. You never know if the next call you get will be a crashed server at a 100+ user company or a little old lady who can't navigate her yahoo mail because yahoo changed the layout of the sit. Sometimes engineers bite more than they can chew. When that happens our service admin team is present to make prioritized decisions when coordinating and dispersing backlogged work. Our collaborative interdepartmental approach isn't always suited for every individual however we like to make sure our techs can focus on engineering while our service admin team takes on coordination and client communication. Though, we're disappointed you did not express your concerns during your employment, please be aware our open door policy encourages employees to offer any suggestions, ideas and address concerns within the company. With the demand for IT professionals in San Diego, at a high level, skilled candidates may find themselves fielding multiple offers. We take pride in being extremely transparent during our hiring process. We truly appreciate your feedback, it helps us make eIRONclad a better place to work.

Pros

Good company to get hands-on experience on many different desktop technologies.

Cons

This is the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. I am not sure how they have survived for almost 14 years. They only have one long-timer Systems Engineer that knows what is going on. The company has been struggling to find the right Systems Engineer to do desktop work 99% of the time. They have hired and let go at least 4 technicians within 4 months, including me. My humble opinion on why experienced Systems Engineers don't succeed at eironclad is this: They provide no formal training. New engineers must annoy old-timer engineer for direction. They have no written documentation describing what services, policies, procedures/processes are provided to customers. Or if they do have this information, it is not shared with technicians. New technicians are not provided with credentials required to perform the job, thus delaying work until old-timer engineer performs a function that could have been done easily.
