Huge payment delays: It took many attempts to extract ANY money I'd earned that was paid to Giant. I threatened to visit their offices with bailiffs and I was paid inside of 25 minutes. Completely inefficient take on process: I had to do over 90% of the work during business take-on, ringing around and emailing to discover what should be shared to the end contract company prior to onboarding. A subsequent umbrella firm did this inside of 75 minutes - with Giant it took nearly a month. Quick to invoice and claw the payments they sat on mine across a financial year end - this impacted my ability to join the furlough scheme, furthermore told repeatedly I didn't appear on their books so didn't qualify - no apology once I proved (with their own payslips & bank transfer record) that I'd been with them for months and been paid. If Giant made beer, you'd pour it away.
