Long hours (I'm ok with it, but others may find it taxing). Little room for employee growth. Raises are not standardized (let alone cost of living raises). You can work for years and not see a single raise unless favored by management. Little to no upward momentum within the company. When it's slow, the salary alone can't pay your bills. And you're on call, so getting another job isn't viable.
