Pros
It was a very small company, there was very little of anything.
Cons
I only worked there for 2 months; after 2 weeks I contracted what was later diagnosed as Long COVID, which has taken me over 6 months to recover from. Despite looking and feeling like death and suffering daily from anxiety and panic attacks I was still required in the office 5 days a week. The job was sold to me by the recruiter as a hybrid role but it wasn't. I felt guilty booking doctors appointments, blood tests or taking sick days, so I had to resort to lying to cover up my symptoms and endured another 6 weeks of utter hell. The walk out, home to bed, was unquestionably the highlight of my entire time there. Luckily I was already negotiating and had a new role within a few days, that I was able to defer for another 2 weeks, to focus on my recovery.
The job prospects looked bleak, I could never get an answer to what work or projects were on the horizon. The office atmosphere was pretty boring, there was little collaboration or knowledge sharing.
