Pros
Weekly lunches provided on T/Th that are on par with a fine dining restaurant. That, coupled with a fully stocked kitchen (beer, wine, soda, water, snacks, lunch material, etc) make it almost possible to eat 100% of your weekly meals at work. They really impress on employees having a good work/life balance. For better or for worse (see cons below) this means you can work around a schedule that fits you. Mistakes are expected and dismissed with reasonable explanation. Management is dedicated to the company mission. Similarly, they see their employees as a part of the family. Maybe a second or third cousin, but still, family.
Cons
Startup vision (fix the world) with corporate gears (management) that slows growth. Some managers have identified all they need to do to succeed is impress the CEO/CXO to survive and that results in little accountability with a lot of slow movement. Lack of outer influence. iFixit thinks its the expert on a lot of different things and managers are entitled or naive to the realities of life outside their network. That results in shock when things don't go as planned despite the warnings of other employees and friends in the field.
