Pros

Great products and global market share Excellent profit sharing package Potential for growth

Cons

One of the major selling points for new hires was unlimited FTO. Recently they switched to PTO with only 2 weeks time off THAT YOU MUST ACCRUE FROM SCRATCH, and VERY LIMITED holidays. Poor upper management decisions are driving away talented individuals. Many people from different departments are complaining about excessive workloads and a lack of direction from upper management. Decisions are made on a whim, without proper data analysis, and expected to be carried out immediately (without testing). Employees are having to change direction frequently and without warning or reason, making it difficult to implement actual thought-out, high-impact strategies. There is no evaluation "process" and the scoring system is convoluted. This makes upward mobility, although not impossible, extremely unclear. Feedback has already been provided to HR so hopefully they start making some big changes quickly. Morale is extremely low across departments.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we value hearing how we can improve. We are pleased that you enjoy the profit sharing package and you recognize the potential for iHerb's continued company growth. Regarding the PTO policy, team members with less than three (3) years receive 15 days of PTO and those with 3+ years receive 20 days of PTO. With iHerb's rapid growth and expansion, we analyze data and make the structural and department changes needed, but we recognize how we can improve our lines of communication with our team members. To allow for more regular performance reviews, HR last month launched its semi-monthly online performance management system in Workday. We appreciate the suggestion of the all-team member survey, and we will consider that suggestion along with the other surveys recently launched at iHerb.

Pros

iHerb pays 100% of medical benefits for you and your immediate family. They are generous with vacation accruals. Salaries are generous.

Cons

The company continues to operate with a small-business, "mom-and-pop" mentality despite its growth. Leadership is highly centralized, with most decisions driven by the CEO. Employees often perceive that those who are not viewed favorably by leadership are eventually managed out of the organization. There is a culture of fear around speaking up, as many employees worry about potential negative consequences to their employment. Favoritism among leaders is frequently observed, and advancement opportunities can be limited for individuals who are not part of the preferred inner circle.
