Pros
The name looks good on your resume. Diverse experience in some roles. Some of the most interesting, friendliest people in Cleveland work there or moved to Cleveland to work there. The reporters and producers care about and excel at their craft. PlayhouseSquare is literally next door.
Cons
Rigid thinking of management does not align with what the organization presents itself to be "about" to the public. Joining in an entry level or support type of role gets one pigeonholed into that type of role and presents barriers to advancement/transfer despite being qualified when opportunities for that (which are rare in some departments) do occur. Compensation in some roles is very low compared to what those skill sets could earn elsewhere. Yes, journalism is low-paying in a struggling, over-saturated field, but that applies to other roles as well.
