Pros
There were some spectacular people in mid-level roles, they have all left, but they were great to work with.
Cons
Lack of Respect for Employees People in the organization with original ideas are quickly squashed into submission by leadership. No idea that was created by anyone other than the three men on the executive team will be respected. Sexist This was stated in a previous review, and it's completely true. Women are treated as second class citizens and that is clear when you walk into the frat house environment. Smart women won't even apply to work here. Culture of Lies From the minute you meet the CEO he will lie to you about his vision for the organization and your position in it. He lies to get you on board and then turns around and tells you that your ideas don't matter because he is in charge, and only his ideas will be needed. The lies don't just stop with the CEO. Quickly, you will learn that people lie about deadlines, about the product functionality and about how great this place is to work. Compensation People are paid poorly and the "benefits" are terrible compared to other startups in NYC. Work/Life Balance There is a terrible PTO policy. You are expected to work from 9-6 and pressured to rarely take lunch away from your desk. There are constant demands on your time before and after hours. There is also no paid leave policy for mothers or new parents, which probably doesn't matter because it's basically a frat house.
