Pros

You can get hired if you're a numpty. There is a small allowance for food on Friday morning. Good for experience, to put on your CV.

Cons

Company culture is highly toxic. Everyone thinks they are better than you. Seniors have been overheard referring to entry level techs as "monkeys". Knowledge is safeguarded rather than shared. Unless your face fits, of course. Pay is low compared to the rest of the industry. Little to no training provided. Internal documentation on customer platforms is poor. Company is filled with useless roles and is hemorrhaging money. The company has a reputation, and not a good one.

Pros

Some great people to work alongside and there is scope to get exposure to a lot of different technologies. Some areas of the business are genuinely trying to improve things to make it a great company and good place to work. Existing staff can move to new roles to progress their career. Plenty of options to develop (courses, exams, training).

Cons

Senior Management don't appear to have a clear idea of where the company is going (possibly due to high turn-over in Exec team). Some decisions are counter-productive despite concerns raised by staff. Wages are NOT competitive (no longer even advertise salaries on job ads to avoid comparison). HR will use every excuse they can to avoid pay-rises/uplifts (even if it's been agreed by senior management). Severe lack of project management in some of the key transformations, leading to rushed changes that cause issues later down the line (no real foresight or forward-planning going on).

Pros

Great people within the business that are dedicated and make this company a great place to work. It’s a good place to start and learn but definitely not worth hanging about!

Cons

Senior management is a shambles, no one really knows what they are doing and the business itself is a sinking ship. Priorities are all over the place with no concrete goal in sight. Many of the town hall meetings were just a lot of male figures talking in circles, no focus on different areas of business for the company to feel united. The turn over in staff is obscene and that should say a lot.
