Pros
This will be the most honest review that you will ever read. - Good benefits, especially for Wilmington, NC area. - Immediate coworkers and lower level management are typically amazing to work with. These specific people are generally kind, intelligent, helpful, and empathetic. - Executive leadership is very open during anonymous Q&A all hands meetings with the questions they decide to answer. If they miss your question, don’t worry. They’ll try to get to it next time. If they miss it again, feel free to quit and find another job because nCino has to move forward and I truly believe it is a privilege and an honor to work here. - Snacks and drinks are provided for you in office, which is nice since you’re required to be there 5 days a week and might get a hankering for a fizzy water and trail mix. - Brand new office building, which is super nice to look at while you walk around looking for an open phone booth. - Reimbursement for Salesforce certifications, once you pass the exams after your third try. - Experience you gain at nCino will possibly get you a 40-150% salary increase with other tech companies or banks when you decide to leave. - Sweet block parties, where you will get to learn about how great it is to work at nCino and learn about the awesome investors that made nCino possible. - Food trucks and/or catering, sometimes. The great thing about this, is you never have to leave work for lunch and you can get back to your computer a little faster than you would otherwise. - Catchy phrases like “culture eats strategy for breakfast,” “we’re a family,” “keep your people happy and they will care about the company” that will keep you motivated and content. These phrases mean something here! Because family is forever. - You get a paycheck. It might not be on par with market value for your experience, skills, certifications, and education, but you’ll definitely get a paycheck. - Overtime pay is available for certain positions. nCino no longer encourages you to not put all the time you work on your time sheet, which is cool. - Tons of meetings, which is great because you’ll always be privy to what leadership wants you to know is happening and it’s definitely not because the scrum process is another form of micromanagement. - 100% in office. I put this as a benefit because it is needed to facilitate great communication and collaboration. Including with your 100% remote colleagues that you will have on the screen in the meeting. Also including your 100% remote customers that you will collaborate with via Zoom. - Occasional checks received in the mail. Who doesn’t love extra money? Thank you, gentlemen of different companies who make agreements! - Employee stock purchase plan is offered. It’s always a sweet adrenaline rush to race against the clock and actually make the discount worth it. - Sweet jokes during all hands meeting from the executive team. While explaining that nCinos low pay is due to nCino keeping us employed during rough times, the CEO made jokes about people who had left the company for more money, only to be laid off at their new company, which would never happen at nCino. Thank goodness for good leadership and job security. Layoffs are scary! - Ability to move to new positions after two years of service. Lower level management is good about trying to get you where you want to go.
