Pros

Opesus takes the reasons somebody would choose to work for a startup and amplifies them as much as possible. That is to say, the decision-making and strategy is very open and accessible to employees, the cohesion/relationships between colleagues is dynamic and personal, and the attention to overall work/life satisfaction is at the core of their retention strategy. Open/transparent financials and salary model remove any motive for back-stabbing or competitive posturing between colleagues and promote healthy collaboration. Relatively generous vacation policy (which isn't 'uNLimiTeD') and flexibility in remote work options make taking time away easy and guilt-free. Company culture encourages self-improvement (in a healthy way) alongside learning and professional development. Frequent travel in order to meet in-person maintains healthy bonds between otherwise physically distant relationships. The firm manages to walk the line between being a small start-up and an international company which gives a taste of cultures from around the world. Generous equity buy-in model starting first year. Remote-first company means that there is no 'stranded-on-an-island' feeling for fully remote employees. Management is professional and very competent. They take their fiduciary responsibility to the company and its employees seriously and work hard to ensure the best outcomes are met.

Cons

International travel, while payed for, may nonetheless be tough for some people. I personally view this as a pro but it's important to consider. Smaller companies tend to have less financial fat than larger corporations. Here is no different. Salaries tend to be a bit lower than larger groups could offer. The lack of structure of a large firm could be hard for some people to work with. This is also widely viewed as a benefit by those who choose to work for a smaller company. The firm is quite social and teams expect each other to be present and communicative. Someone who wants to regularly clock-in and clock-out without being overly present wouldn't fit well in the culture.

Pros

My favorite part is the people I work with. They support you very well and are thoughtful. If you've never worked with SAP products and the ABAP language before, there's a significant amount of things to learn just to get started, which can be overwhelming BUT your colleagues support you and are there to help, which makes the learning process work. And they're very fun to be around - they cheer me up, motivate, and inspire me. They're dedicated, smart, competent, and kind so they provide an amazing context to grow professionally and as a person. They care about work-life balance. Being asked to work overtime or outside your normal work hours is a very rare occurrence in my experience and always avoided if possible. The overtime that you do add up for yourself is time you can take off when you need to, and they make conscious efforts to not build up too much overtime at a company level. They use a fair salary model so I don't have to worry about fighting for a raise. I like this system very much. Pleasant work environment: from the ergonomic equipment to the beautiful office space and the flexibility to work from home when needed. I hear all offices from our different locations are very nice but I especially like mine.

Cons

You must be prepared to learn a lot, not only in the on-boarding process but also as you go. This is not necessarily a con, but it can be overwhelming if you're not prepared for it. Take it more as a heads-up.
