Pros
Good health insurance and free lunch
Cons
It’s interesting that “anon employees” who are probably execs are flooding the negative, but truthful reviews. This is an example of the problem with Payactiv: they’d rather flood reviews than treat people well to get actual good reviews. *Bonus* tip to management: If bad reviews span over many years, it’s likely the problem. At this point, you don’t want to do better. The mark of immaturity is the ability to listen to different perspectives and meaningfully reflect on yourself. The behavior on this Glassdoor page reflects Payactiv inside and out — a circus, and the few at the top are the funniest ones. Payactiv treats their employees like garbage. This completely stems from the top. Ironically, the company claims to understand the struggle of those who are underbanked, living paycheck to paycheck, who the product serves. But they treat their own employees poorly and pays low (and they know that). You can be here for years and still get paid less than someone who was recently hired at your level. This means they don’t grow you here or care about you. The way to growth is being a “yes man” and to coddle leadership, but we’re all adults and no one wants to do that. Management likes to micromanage, throws monthly events and give out freebies, but actively chooses to not listen to what their employees really need - competitive pay, better culture, or their change in leadership style. This makes me believe that they don’t want to do better. EQ is nonexistent here. And overall, there’s a stunning lack of common sense. Save yourself, your time, your genuine efforts and enthusiasm. Everyone could do so much better. They don’t deserve employees, they make all the decisions on their own anyway. I don’t know how Payactiv manages to get funding. If I were an investor, I’d get a professional third party group to assess the leadership team to see who poses a risk to the business. Investors be doing better business with almost anyone else in their portfolio. It’s a low bar.
