Pros: We’re delighted to hear that you value the charity events, paid certification opportunities, and the focus on internal promotions. It’s great to know that our efforts to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, along with the small touches are appreciated. We’re also proud of our hybrid working model and the strong culture we’ve built together.
Cons: We acknowledge the concerns you’ve raised regarding the support team’s focus and targets. It’s important to us that we balance efficiency with quality service, and we understand that the shift towards being really focussed on how we deliver our service may have inadvertently created challenges. However, we want to highlight that this focus has actually led to an increase in our carefully monitored levels of customer satisfaction. Far from being a negative experience, our customers have reported noticeable improvements in service over the last six months. Clearly, getting the balance right is tricky, but everything we are doing is centred around providing our clients with a great experience.
We also recognise that in looking at our numbers, individuals who are performing differently to some baselines, may receive more feedback, which can be challenging to be on the receiving end of. We are committed to ensuring that this process is constructive and supportive.
We also recognise the importance of mentoring and the need to manage workloads effectively. Your feedback about feeling overworked and micromanaged is taken seriously, and we are committed to fostering a supportive and trusting environment. We will work on improving communication and ensuring that management is approachable and responsive to concerns.
Regarding opportunities for growth, we strive to provide career development paths for all employees. We are very proud of the fact that 54% of our team have been promoted at least once, and this is particularly evident when you look at the fact that 5 of our former apprentices, now have management roles in the business. While there may be periods where promotions are less frequent, we are dedicated to supporting your professional growth and finding ways to recognise and reward your contributions.
Advice to Management: Your advice is invaluable, and we agree that alignment across the team is crucial. We will take steps to ensure that our goals and expectations are clear and that everyone feels supported in their roles. Trusting our team to do their work is fundamental, and we will work on reducing unnecessary pressures and improving our support systems.
