Pros

Only one that you can learn with fast pace.

Cons

Cons are large in number: 0. I am sure that all above reviews are fake, just observe the dates of posting. 1. The company market itself as a start-up but it feels like a family business. 2. CEO has no knowledge of how the tech works. He doesn't know how a coder solves a problem. He is only interested in the end results. 3. I didn't find any kind of start-up like culture. A half day salary will be deducted if you came late in the office. 4. I can't understand which book is referred to define working hours which is 10AM-8PM 5. CEO prioritizes his behaviors based on temperamental anger over professional behavior. 6. With an ability to not understand the tech, CEO can end up sitting besides you checking how you google your issue as he don't know coding. 7. CEO may ask you not to ask help from other employee as he thinks its good method to learn. 8. It is common in office to shout on employee. 9. There is no one in company who actually reviews the code and eventually reviews the employee. But the employee review is only done by the CEO who don't know how to code. 11. Being a developer, be ready to reply client email queries. Failed to do so, be ready to be scolded in front of all the employees. 12. Nothing will be awarded like comp off if you need to work on Saturday/Sunday. 13. Be ready to get yourself awarded with Rs 500 as bonus.

Thank you for reviewing your time at Speedbox and for sharing your thoughts on the last few days of your employment. We would like to address some comments directly to you on this forum for your benefit: 1. You were the first full-time hire in a software developer role at Speedbox with no experience, fresh out of college, and demonstrated great enthusiasm to learn 2. Startups and New Businesses are unique, thriving environments where the onus to learn and contribute does rely on your own efforts. 3. We believe the team and our employees are the most important factor determining success. We are sure you would agree and your experiences at Speedbox - barring the last few days - do resonate the same as well. 4. Instead of micro-managing, Speedbox believes in giving their employees the freedom to solve and innovate independently while providing resources necessary to make that happen. 5. The work culture are Speedbox is casual and friendly, with immense responsibility given to individual employees. Your comments on working hours, seeming "like a family business," office policies on absenteeism, promoting research ("Google") and self-learning, giving you visibility on front-facing ("client emails") roles are unfortunate. We encourage you to empower yourself with more understanding of how businesses are run so you may - perhaps - understand that all of these points are positive and have contributed in your growth in the short time you spent at Speedbox. 6. Considering you have written this review more than 1 year after your decision to resign from your position at Speedbox, we encourage you to think back and reassess your contribution to the company and your learning curve along the way. You were provided ample time to learn from scratch with lenient timelines. Unfortunately, your learning and performance never matched the expectation Speedbox had from other candidates in your profile. However, because you did not lack in effort and were able to contribute in other ways (documentation of bugs/tracking issues and more), you were given those roles and were informed that your performance/output is not up to the mark. To complain about a symbolic bonus for your efforts seems unnecessary. You have neglected to realize that all team members are always compensated based on merit - and perhaps introspect on why you, in particular, received such a low amount. In such an environment, it is possible for some loss of control with respect to emotions boiling over - something Speedbox understands and allows for every single team member. It is extremely disappointing to see you raise the point on angry criticism - as you are well aware, everybody at Speedbox is encouraged to improve at all times and in a close-knit environment, be prepared for conflict and do not shy away from it. Moving to the topic on your hand-off/termination process, your work and output was not up to the mark. While Speedbox has never questioned your effort, there was a clear strategy and process for your smooth exit and transition of your role to other team members at Speedbox. You are well aware that you did not complete/deliver/succeed in this at all. Yet, as a gesture, Speedbox agreed to let you join your new organization because you committed to getting the work done remotely and assisting the team as necessary. Your work was below-par and your hand-off was non-existent. You were firmly informed about the impact of your actions and in your own words above - you know that your work was not complete and all efforts were made by Speedbox to ensure that is done to complete your hand-off process. Unfortunately, none of this was done satisfactorily. Speedbox does not wish to jeopardize your career and hence declined to provide your recommendation letter for the new organization as well. We are surprised to see this comment 1 year after you left - perhaps because Speedbox has very recently created a Glassdoor profile (which is when all employees entered their comments, none of which are fake/doctored/made up). If there are any lingering issues, we invite you to visit us and have an open discussion on this subject to find common ground. Overall, Speedbox wishes to make two points very clear to former employees, existing team members and all future candidates: 1. Make no mistake, Speedbox expects you to be committed, take ownership of your task and expects aggressive deadlines. If you are ready for a challenge and to play a part in solving real-world problems, you will enjoy and thrive here. Yes, it is run more like a family with close-knit relationships but with high expectations from the team. You will be given a platform and the resources to succeed - but a popular phrase puts it aptly: "You can take a horse to the water, but you cannot make it drink." 2. The work culture has a focus on individual as well as company growth through learning and by making mistakes along the way. Thank you, Sincerely, Team Speedbox.

Amazon routes are not optimized well. Long days that can become unmanageable if things go wrong (which they will).
