test IO Response
8yI'm sorry that your experience wasn't great, and we are grateful for your feedback. I can assure you that while not every test cycle runs as smoothly as we would like, as a growing global company we are working hard to fix the issues -- particularly by having more project leads across compatible time zones.
Let me address the issue around bug severity guidelines. You raise an important issue, and a fair point, that bug severity guidelines are not the same for every test run. Some of the fault here my lie with the team leaders -- they are human, after all -- but some of it is the fact that different customers have different bug severity guidelines that they ask us to follow. We try our best to communicate those guidelines to testers in the course of a test run, but communication is not always perfect, or as clear as it should be.
In our bug review process, we are not acting on behalf of clients *at all*. They pay us what they pay us regardless. Our job in the bug review process is to try to be as fair as we can be, with the explicit goal in mind of developing a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship with testers. If you've had a negative experience with a team leader, please make sure that you're communicating with our community team through the chat function in the application. They're there to help you, and they are measured by how well they recruit and retain members of our community, so they have a strong incentive to make sure we treat you fairly.
