Pros

-Passionate employees -“cool factor” when you tell people you work for LEGO! -Flexibility -Community outreach and lots of volunteer opportunities -401k match and healthcare benefits -Fringe benefits (free coffee, snacks and company store) -beautiful campus -small, but nice gym & free fitness classes -subsidized Lego daycare -international travel opportunities (depending on your role)

Cons

-No formal training program or talent pipeline (unless you’re upper management), which can limit advancement opportunities. You will see a lot of people in the same role for an abnormal period of time. -The company just went through a restructuring exercise to flatten the organization (which led to a lot of demotions), so career growth will continue to be limited. -culture resembles a high school (cool kids vs the nerds and outcasts) -executive leadership tends to be arrogant and didn’t recognize that double digit growth was not feasible long term, thus went on a rampant hiring spree only to layoff a ton of employees this past month. -most “strategic” decisions tend to be knee jerk/reactive vs. pro active Overall, now is not the time to join the company (not that they are hiring). The morale has hit rock bottom and the company just went through a major shake up. Give them a few years to turn things around and accept flat to modest growth. They will come back if they reset their expectations and strategy. The company has a lot of potential, they just need to get on the right side of things.

Cons

Overworked in the weekends and holidays there was many times where the store was understaffed and we needed more employees to work High School Mentality with some of the employee's people would have clique groups during work Going back to employees there was some employees that were very lazy and or incompetent and nothing was done about it
