"A Broken Company" - VP Americas (not me)

Pros

-High visibility, if you're in Orange or West Haven. Otherwise no. -The benefits are excellent. Nop notch actually. No complaints here -Lean staffing is a pro and a con; there is very little redundancy... your job is secure if no one else can do it -Supplies mature technologies to a generally loyal customer base -Talent is rewarded with gift certificates to shitty restaurants

Cons

-Opportunity for advancement is limited. The company is run WAY too lean. People aren't promoted so much as someone leaves and that job gets dumped on someone else. Years of this has led to too many people spread way too thin, and quality begins (began?) to suffer. -Management/VP positions don't come from within... For some reason spending 5 years at a competitor makes you infinitely more valuable than spending 20 years at Enthone -They'd rather "fix" a problem that CAN and SHOULD be solved by, say, hiring five $30k/yr rank and file employees.... by hiring, say, one $150k/yr manager/director/VP. -This is a company with major units focused on fading/heavily regulated industries. Slowing demand is never good for business, especially when you respond by increasing prices.
