Pros

Got to learn on my own

Cons

Management acts like dictators. And when you ask for help or complain about something wrong they are clueless as to what to do. They're way out is to get rid of you.

Entrust, Inc. is a family owned business and we have created an environment of inclusion. It is unfortunate that you did not find this commonly shared opinion. The great thing about hearing your comments is that we will again examine how we attempt to have our employees feel included and valued, and we will examine what can be done in the future to better communicate that inclusivity. I do think we have room for improvement and will diligently review the situation. Ownership and Executives at Entrust have created a working family of which everyone should feel a part of. We address each other on first name basis, we have open door policies for everyone. If you have a concern you can go right into the office of the C.F.O. or C.O.O. or any other management office and be heard. Ownership doesn't just know their employees, they know their employees' children, their spouses, and what's important to them. There a difficult and hard decisions that come with ownership; the vitality and stability the company that don't always please everyone. I can attest to the passion and drive to keep this company strong and vital for all the employees and their careers. Thank you for comments.

Pros

The people here are very friendly and there is always something new to learn. I was granted the opportunity to work at Entrust after I graduated college and did not regret it one bit. I learned a lot about self-funding and health insurance. Benefits are great, work/life balance is awesome, and the managers are amazing. A very homey workplace.

Cons

Copier has over 2.1 million copies on it -- may be time to upgrade, but other than that nothing to really complain about.

Excellent working conditions. New state of the art building. Great location. Free parking. Free coffee and other breakfast drinks. Great break room, 2 refrigerators, clean and roomy. 37 1/2 hour work week. Casual dress during the hot summer months, business casual the rest of the year. Generous holiday schedule, generous vacation, sick and personnel - converting to PTO Bank in 2017. Free health benefits for employees. Excellent voluntary benefits with very low rates. FSLA, 401k. Family environment. Wonderful holiday parties and special events. Our 2017 Calendar is going to be filled with what I call - FUN DAYS! Celebrating things like National Ice Cream Day, National Apple Day, etc. We acknowledge Veterans and their service, we celebrate engagements, weddings, graduations, birthdays and anniversaries. We have shared Memorials for coworkers we have lost. We are a professional family. Learning our Industry and then how Entrust executes best practices does take time. But once learned your talents and skills will be evident and the appropriate opportunities may come. I find that we have to work to make ourselves "promotable". I used to ask employees, "what have you done to get ready for a promotion? Did you take on extra projects? Are you a team player? Do you come to work with a can-do attitude?" Opportunities will come to those ready for them. I started at Entrust as an Administrative Assistant, promoted to Marketing Assistant, then to Compliance Coordinator, then I became the Director of Account Manager. It doesn't happen overnight but it does happen with regularity. All companies try to make great hiring decisions; but as we know there are no guarantees. Just as when an employee accepts a position - until you are there - doing the work you may not know if it is right for you. Everyone tries their to minimize hiring mistakes; but they do happen. We thank you and wish you much success in your future.
