Pros

I would say the best reason to work for Ergotron is because they do pay well. They also offer fun and flexibility to the employees. There were often company lunches, half days and you get a lot of vacation. The senior management was very professional and good.

Cons

Ergotron was not an ethical company in my opinion. I question some of their products and how they would handle questionable situations. Their middle management was awful - cocky and unwilling to help learn or understand the job. As someone who catches on quickly, I needed little direction and was not provided any at all.

Pros

There are no pros to working at this company except the 5 weeks of vacation time. I can almost guarantee the positive reviews are written by the corrupt management team

Cons

If you want to hate your life - come work here. It is an absolute nightmare. The company sets insanely unrealistic cost, quality, and timeline expectations that leave employees feeling constantly overwhelmed and defeated. Project management and the leadership team are completely out of touch, steering the company straight into collapse. Employee morale is at an all-time low. I didn't think it was possible for it to sink this low, but somehow this company has managed to create an environment where every department hates each other. Collaboration and teamwork are non-existent; it's a toxic and hostile workplace where colleagues are pitted against each other rather than working towards a common goal. But that's not all, the compensation is a complete joke. Employees are severely underpaid, and the bonus/merit structure is a farce. Even if you exceed all expectations and pour your heart and soul into your work, you will still be paid below industry standard. There's no recognition for your efforts or the value you bring to the company. It's demoralizing and demotivating to see your hard work go unrecognized and unrewarded. The review process is equally laughable. It's nothing more than a formality, with no real constructive feedback or meaningful performance evaluations. It's as if the company doesn't care about its employees' growth or development. The lack of support and guidance from management is disheartening. Overall, working for this company is a soul-sucking experience. The unrealistic expectations, toxic work environment, and lackluster compensation make it a place where dreams and motivation go to die. Save yourself the misery and stay away from this company if you value your sanity and want a fulfilling career.

Pros

5 weeks PTO, but you can't hang your hat on that Ergotron. That's literally all you've got going for you.

Cons

Where do I begin? They don't invest in their people. They don't listen to their people. They don't understand that without their people, the company will cease to exist. The leadership that has taken the helm in the last 3 years have absolutely destroyed employee morale. They do employee engagement surveys and every year employees tell them where the issues are (and it's the same every year), yet leadership does not act on it. Nothing but empty promises and full pockets for leadership. They will expect you to be thankful for being overworked and underpaid. Because hey, "we promise...." but never make good on those promises. They do not pay employees what is appropriate and industry standard for their role, unless you nose is as brown as can be.
