Cool idea, lack of values and no direction

Pros

Used to be a company full of great people, highly motivated and willing to collaborate. All before the layoffs

Cons

Lack of ethics, empathy and respect for people -ironically since it’s a platform to improve company culture-. It’s an unhealthy work environment full of egos and gut feeling decision making. Misaligned direction between product and CEO, ambiguous strategies, sales trying to fit the product into any possible use case that might attract customers while product direction attempts to build the platform they would like despite any other feedback or market needs. The product status is way behind from the sales pitch promises with few to none tangible results.

Pros

Not a good moment to join this company

Cons

Massive layoffs because of lack of planification and designing teams accordingly. Impulsive, non data-based decisions coming from the Leadership team, with no consistency

Pros

I had great time working with my team, I've met a lot of talented people The salary was great and huge motivator Flexible and understanding, work life balance was manageable even though work load was intense, I've never had to work on weekends A lot of opportunities to shape the product as its very early stages, I felt like my voice was heard within the team

Cons

Huge lack of empathy in all departments, especially from senior management Lack of leadership skills in senior management Very rigid communication between product and tech teams, a lot of chaos delivering initiatives because of the misalignment and last minute change of decisions Decisions being made by one person rather than a team No set processes, everyone works in their own way and no place to have one source of truth Work is done in silos, teams are reluctant to help each other out seeing it as a threat rather than collaboration Company is offering a tool for employee experience, yet they show absolute lack of care when it comes to their own employees, firing people every month
