Pros
Great work space on the top floor of a downtown high rise overlooking the river. They take design pretty seriously and is definitely the best in the city and one of the few really great design firms in the region. The scale of work is great too ranging from smaller interior work to larger hospitals, but mostly in the mid-scale range where you can really dig into the quality of spaces and details. Most of it is within Louisiana so you can participate in CA work and see construction sites. Recently most of the work has been in New Orleans dealing with rebuilding and new construction. The other employees are great. They have occasional social outings on Fridays and yearly take the whole office to visit previous built work within the city or state.
Cons
The primary design of projects is rewarded to only a few people within the office almost solely overseen by the Design Director, who's pretty great. Not a horrible system since "design by committee" fails also, but unsure how projects are distributed in the office. Mid-level management was a bit low at the time, but upper level management was a bit top heavy making getting technical assistance on projects difficult since partners were often too busy and other employees were for the most part on the same or similar level.
