First and foremost, it is important to note that the co-founders are married. Though one of them “stepped down,” due to a now deleted Glassdoor review regarding sexual harassment, don’t be fooled. The announcement was only made so that the post would be taken down and he has since continued working for the company remotely.
Diversity is not of importance here. In addition to inappropriate comments made towards female employees, the aforementioned co-founder was clear about his indifference to maintaining a diverse workplace. He often doubled downed on this sentiment with comments that fall into what could be deemed the “ignorance trifecta” – homophobic, racist, sexist. Arguably, his best attempt to touch on diversity was when he would mention his attraction to Asian women.
The next few points are reflective of reviews written by actual past employees (and not management themselves, who are responsible for a couple, having sent out an email asking employees to write positive posts after a slew of negative ones).
If you crave structure, this is not the place for you. Projects are often discussed over several lines of communication, making for an incredibly confusing process. There is either no direction at all or micromanaging from multiple people at once. Management will certainly attribute this to “startup culture,” but in reality, there’s just a huge lack of organization. As mentioned in a previous review, favoritism is 100% present here. The culture has seemingly shifted away from vengeful firings to simply withholding opportunities from those who are not adored by higher ups.
