You have your own freedom and space to work. Everybody listens to you. Working culture is also very good with great benefits.

Nothing bad from end to add.

Dysfunction at its finest

Pros

Friendly people. There are still some good intending employees, but they are becoming few and far between.

Cons

Unrealistic goals with no clear strategy or structure. Upper and mid-level management is a revolving door. Outsiders are brought in and upend the current structure and as soon as things really start getting bad they take their severance and split. The company is so cheap it is widely known that you have to leave and come back or have an outside offer to get any real type of merit increase. One of the lowest paying companies in the area. Essentra can't obtain decent lower level shop talent b/c places like Wal-Mart and McDonald's pay substantially more. I was basically a whistle blower against an upper level manager for intimidation and harassment. He was given a week off and is still currently employed. Says a lot about Essentra's culture and overall dysfunction.

Pros

Base salary is dependable mostly

Cons

Ok so if you’re thinking of working here, below is what to expect: 1. Upon accepting an offer you’ll receive a 2 page letter, honeypotting you with quarterly bonus, rainbows and unicorns. 2. Upon arrival you’ll receive sketchy trading on a “CRM” where you must enter a ton of data. 3. Youll be given “KPIs” that are so rediculus it will almost make you lol. 4. If by some crazy circumstance where cats hook up with dogs, Joe Biden plays golf with Trump and you hit your target for a quarter, they will move the goalposts and delay payments. 5. You will be selling a massive amount of item numbers. The core items most commonly ordered will be out of stock, late to your customer if you still have an order. 6. If the item you’ve sold is imported you can tell your customer “we will get that to you some time this year”. Finally: advancement opportunity? Not happening. If you join as an entry level sales person - you will be mandated to clock in and out each day to start lunch and leave. Other than that its well you get it.
