Pros

Short commute if you live in southwest Riverside County.

Cons

Owner is by far the biggest micromanager I've worked with. The business model involves spamming thousands of companies and then working on random jobs from random companies, claims to be an expert on everything.

Pros

A few pros to working at Etech Hi are: (1) I became close to the other Recruiter and Office Admin. When there were tough times, the three of us dependent on each other for support, (2) I was exposed to a lot of different industries, and (3) really short commute if you live in Temecula through Menifee.

Cons

Some of the cons regarding Etech Hi are: (1) Coworkers and I were micromanaged, whether it is the color highlighter you're allowed to use, how you organize yourself, or basically any aspect of how you perform your job function. (2) Employee turnover is high. I personally saw five others give little/ no notice when they left the organization. There is a reason why so many people choose to leave after a couple of months. (3) Compensation is quite lack-luster. Please understand the difference between a DRAW and BASE-SALARY. Commission payouts are less than the industry average, as well.

Pros

I learned a lot during the time I was there. Felt like a boot camp with all of the information that was being given during training. The other recruiters and administrators were extremely nice and supportive. It was a nice commute if you live in the Murrieta/Temecula area.

Cons

The "Vice President" who is actually the owner of the company, has a huge micromanaging problem. Has to know what you are doing every second of the day. He also got too handsy with some of the women working there, including massaging their shoulders or patting their heads. He would also make comments about some of the women's weight and looks and give them pet names like "sweetie". EXTREMELY inappropriate. From a business perspective, I am shocked at how they are still in business in the first place. We would get lots of leads and clients, but they would go dead very quickly. They do not have to pay us ahead of time and therefore, they can opt-out whenever they want, which is unfair to the recruiters working to get candidates for them (especially on a draw commission). The whole commission structure is also a joke. It is a draw commission, where you are pretty much in the hole for a least a year until you start getting hires (if you get hires). Expect to make your base for that period of time. Overall, I would avoid working at this place, especially if you are a woman. Even if it is for a short time, it is not worth the stress.
