Poor office climate

Pros

Work with great brands, diverse cliental, low key office environment (jeans are acceptable), paid internship plus monthly metrocard.

Cons

Poor crisis management, extremely gossipy office environment, and an internship regardless of the type of "industry" and regardless of the fact that you're being paid should never require delivering the boss's dry cleaning and running out to buy coffee for the team. An internship is a learning experience & what I took away from my time at Exposure was that a poor office climate can lead to a poor experience regardless of how good the benefits and brands might be.

Thank you for your feedback. One of our goals at Exposure is to treat each individual with dignity and respect. In order to do so, we take strides to maintain a positive culture for our employees. It is clear is that the culture you experienced is one that is counter to what we strive for. We clearly fell short of our own expectations here. As a result of feedback from our past interns we have completely overhauled our Internship program. We have partnered with a professor from Parsons to develop a curriculum which will offer our interns an enriching experience during their time with us while earning college credit towards graduation. Moving forward our interns will be engaged in lectures and mentorship to attain learning objectives. Anytime we fall short, we want to hear about it and, while we’d prefer to have someone speak to a Director or our HR team, we appreciate the opportunity to respond to this post.

Pros

Amazing work environment! Young, up to date, and cool! You will make a lot of friends and drink and party a lot! Almost everyday was very fun socially. You will meet people and network a lot.

Cons

The management is very poor. It's very simple, if you don't have a connection (i.e. know the CEO's or someone in HR) you're literally undervalued and will be replaced in a heartbeat no matter how great you are. It's very much like school, unprofessional and a lot of unnecessary work politics and drama. I wish I could say more, but I wouldn't want to completely put off new members as the direct people you work with day to day are out of this world, it's the management who you never see who are ridiculous.
