Cons
Fable's culture, especially amongst senior leadership team, is incredibly cliquey. At a Director level at Fable, I often felt extremely alienated and uncomfortable. The CEO and COO are married, and much of the upper management (i.e., Operations, Engineering) are very close friends with them. If you are not on the "inside" of this friend group, then it is next to impossible for your professional opinions to carry weight. In general, if you are not just a "yes" person and present differing solutions to business operations/problems than the founders, then you likely will not be successful. Other Cons: - No mobile phone or internet stipend; Fable is a remote first company so you basically have to pay to work - Below average extended benefits coverage (e.g. fluoride isn't even covered in bi-annual dental teeth cleaning) - Bare minimum vacation allotment (3 weeks only, regardless of role) - No RRSP matching - No bonus - No performance review or salary banding available
