Leadership direction is all over the place. They frequently will fire people with little to no reason. Even though this is a startup and they advocate for experimentation, if you aren’t performing to their unrealistic standards, you almost certainly will be at risk of being terminated. There is no warnings or area of improvement given, they will fire you with no justification. Multiple executive heads have been terminated or left the company. The leadership here also doesn’t believe in severance, so take that for what it is. They preach that the product is category defining but there are many large players entering the space that leave the future very uncertain. The product is complicated and it takes a while to really understand it. Worse though, it doesn’t actually do anything better than the competition that anyone really cares about. Very much a nice to have. As far as startups go, given how inept leadership has been around the wrong focus and how bad their judgment is with hiring, I can’t imagine this company will be breathing in the next few years. If you are applying for sales roles, I urge you to reconsider.
