Farmers Insurance recently implemented significant structural changes aimed at enhancing efficiency and productivity. While the intent was positive, transitioning into a high-performance culture presented certain challenges. The increased emphasis on metrics and performance targets OFTEN led to higher pressure on employees, impacting team morale and work-life balance. While the new structure may have streamlined some processes, it TOO OFTEN resulted in diminished collaboration and increased competition internally.

Restructuring since last fall has not gone well for employees or the department despite leadership’s continued efforts to try and convince otherwise. Morale is horrible. Zone Mgr is an extreme micromanager and has either targeted and fired, or driven out the most valued and tenured employees. Common feeling in department is that everyone fears they are the next one on the chopping block, justified or not.
