I have been working at Financial Times full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    • Fantastic people. No sharp elbows. New leadership in the newsroom is extremely promising. • Authentically trying to tackle diversity issues, not perfect, but very advanced compared to other news orgs. • An old brand that feels relevant.

    Cons

    • Decision making is slow and polite (though, would rather this than quick and impolite). • Process is messy and not unified between departments.

I have been working at Financial Times full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great company ethos, great brand, most of the time a great working environment, very flexible and accommodating employer, great benefits

    Cons

Incredibly inefficient in how it works and not the most clear thinking or driven department (not across the company, but very much on the commercial side). I imagine those two often go hand in hand. The environment is quite politicised, and the politics is quite one sided.

I have been working at Financial Times full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The brand is well respected. Work life balance is great. They support their employees with great internal networks

    Cons

Still lags behind and comes across as super innovative but aren't. Pays way below the market and justifies it because they're the FT. Can be an old boys club and people get rewarded for who they know
