Pros

Cool product idea Great people DO work here A couple legacy clients who account for probably 60% of the revenue (is that a pro?) A great way to hone your job hunting/interviewing skills

Cons

If you work on the Sales team..good luck hitting quota because no one has and no one will. They keep hiring more and more reps and your # stays the same but your territory gets smaller (still trying to figure this one out). The product is a "nice to have" so don't let them fool you into thinking that everyone is going to kill each other to get it Everyday you feel like it could be your last - it's a real great feeling to wake up to If you're reading the other reviews, doesn't it seem like someone in management is writing them? If you ask any of the reps there they won't tell you it's a "well oiled sales machine" or "The Sales operation has been well thought out and planned". If it's so thought out and planned then why is no one hitting their numbers on a team of 20 AE's and 20 SDR's

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to write this. As I hope you’ve heard, we’ve made some serious changes across our sales org over the past couple of months.. While it took time for the changes to take effect, we are now well on our way to an all star sales team. To get there, we dramatically corrected our quota expectations per AE and per SDR, hired a new sales leadership team which is focusing on coaching through positivity, teamwork & learning, we’ve created a new Sales Enablement function to support our sales people, and we’ve invested our COO with the responsibility to oversee our sales team (with CS and Delivery). I’m grateful that we’re now fostering a healthier, happier and more productive sales culture. Pros

- Fantastic concept, capitalizing on a pain point that is increasingly evident - Outside of the sales team, the culture is superb - Majority of the employees work really hard (extra hours, leverage their network, help others) - Great support from investors, great buzz in the industries they serve - Great location(s) - Previous, current, and future - Some of the employees have been around since the beginning and have so much value to add. Unfortunately, they are not always given the opportunity to share that knowledge and expertise

Cons

- Trickle-down toxicity from Senior Sales Leadership - Employees treated as numbers - Fear and anxiety is used to motivate staff - People are put into uncomfortable situations so that they are forced to divulge information that will eventually be used to turn people against one another. The objective is to create competition and keep people in check, but in reality it just destroys collaboration - Opinions aren't heard, feedback is dismissed - Someone once proposed that we include a "suggestion box", to which the response was "We have one, it's the blue bin with the 3 arrows on it" (Recycle bin) - Some leaders lack Integrity and Transparency, even though they are 2 of the core values to the business - Strategy is not well thought out, anything that fails is blamed on poor execution, often at the cost of great talent that ends up leaving the business

Thanks for sharing your confidence in what we’re doing here. I’m also energized by our people, our concept and the success we have achieved. That said, I acknowledge a number of your concerns. Feedback like this was key in our decision to make significant changes to our sales leadership. Our new VP Sales speaks frequently about the importance of trust, vulnerability and winning together, and with him he’s brought some great AE & SDR managers on board to reinforce his collaborative/transparent leadership style. The changes have already produced positive results. Last month our sales team crushed our number and the team’s morale and energy is exceptionally better. I wish you a ton of success in your new gig. -Exciting mission & vision -Growing start-up (have seen it go from 15 to 90+ staff in the year and a half I've bene here) -Lots of opportunities to grow with the company -Anyone with a good idea can have an impact, regardless of hierarchy or how long they've been here -Humble & hardworking CEO translates into humble & hardworking team -Great people & relaxed work environment
