Pros
A few exceptional people still work there, for now. The CEO, a CMU professor on leave, could sell ice to Inuits.
Cons
Some of the best people in their trade have left the company or were fired, and were not replaced. Several employees were fired without notice, and without being placed on the elusive 3-month performance plan, which the company execs lie about. Code quality is low. Unfortunate technical decisions were made, seemingly based on misunderstood blog posts in a cargo-cult fashion. Everything moves very slowly. Engineers are not empowered to choose the tools that make them most productive. The Palo Alto office has a giant, austere, red slogan on the wall, just like in a scene of the satirical movie "The Death of Stalin" (2017). I can't remember what it says despite seeing it everyday for months. CTO's technical skills are not adequate.
