      Pros

      - Talented, creative, innovative team - Prioritizes a culture based on diversity and inclusion - Respects and values everyone's views and opinions - Holds weekly all-staff meetings to ensure transparency and an open dialogue - Unique opportunity to be part of a team building an international company that solves large-scale problems with geospatial data

      - In Tyson's Corner, but company works remotely every Wednesday

      A great place to grow technical skills in a niche field

      Pros

      - innovative work, especially in spatial analysis - really great people (for the most part) - you can have a good work life balance if you're proactive about it - opportunities to grow & develop consulting skills - flexible to remote work

      Cons

      - many positions are horribly underpaid with a lot of responsibility and little support - benefits are pretty terrible (no 401k match, bad & expensive health insurance) - pretty niche field - you will work in a variety of sectors but the type of analysis is generally similar - DEI initiatives are a joke, senior leadership is generally resistant to DEI - lacking transparency from senior leadership & just overall poor leadership - a couple toxic personalities in positions of power

      Interesting work and lots of opportunity to grow

      Pros

      Fraym has a really interesting mission to produce data that supports businesses and organizations working in Africa. It's enjoyable to work for a wide range of customers (businesses, global development organizations, and others). The Fraym team has been growing quickly, and the product is evolving all the time. It's an exciting time to be part of the company, and you really get a chance to contribute to its evolution. Plus its a really enjoyable group of people.

      Cons

      It's still a fairly young company, and growing quickly, so you need to take some initiative to learn and help shape the culture and processes. But the team is really dedicated to figuring things out and treating everyone well. It's a great place to be if you want to be contribute to an interesting and growing company.
