Pros

Freedom First is dedicated to the community. As the employees are also community members it is easy to rally behind the mission. Teams work together to solve issues and people have vested interest in making things better for everyone internally as well as externally. Ideas are shared and evaluated fairly.

Cons

With great ambition comes large work loads. This is not always a bad thing but sometimes overlapping deadlines can cause stress and reduced service levels to meet expectations.

The branch you works at really determines the cons in my opinion. There are several great branches and departments to work on and great managers to work with. However, in my experience being at different branches there is one in particular that the vp of that branch had no issues yelling at her employees, speaking to them to make them feel degraded and several left in tears. When instead they could have spoken to the employees in a professional manner and probably resolved whatever the issues and wouldn't have such a high turn over rate. Also, no Christmas bonuses.

Executive Management really know you and care about you as an employee. You don't get lost in the shuffle

Sometimes there can be such a focus on the members that leadership forgets the employee side of things
