Collaborative remote culture with startup energy

Pros

Fresh Tri has a very supportive and collaborative team. The culture is rooted in genuine care where the leadership team truly wants you/each other/all of us as the org to succeed and they are always willing to roll up their sleeves and help. There’s a strong emphasis on growth, both personal and professional, with encouragement to take proactive initiative, try new things, and expand your skills. The flexibility of remote work is also a huge plus allowing for balance and autonomy, while still feeling connected to the larger mission and team.

Cons

The pace can be fast and priorities can shift quickly. Sometimes things feel a bit fluid or ambiguous and urgency can arise unexpectedly. It’s a culture that rewards adaptability. And the flipside of the flexible remote hours, is that we do have to flex to your teammates time zones since some of us are Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern time.

Dishonest people

Pros

The property I worked on was nice.

Cons

Weird and neurotic people, lots of bizarre rules to follow. Occasionally snapped at for such minor transgressions as touching a wall, not walking through doorways clockwise, or making vague inquiries about boss's weekend plans. I was misclassified as an independent contractor so they could get out of paying their share of taxes for me. CFO is a lawyer so definitely knew what he was doing there. (To anyone in California being told you are an independent contractor, look up the ABC test and see if your employment conditions satisfy the test.)

Fresh Tri Response

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We want to clarify that this individual was not an employee or contractor of Fresh Tri, except for working one or two daylong events. They were a personal assistant to one of our executives more than five years ago and were not paid through the company for that work. The specific directions for their work were because they were working in sacred spaces related to the executive's Native American heritage. While we respect their viewpoint, it does not reflect the experience of working at Fresh Tri. We encourage prospective candidates to read reviews from current and former team members, as they provide a more direct reflection of life at Fresh Tri.
