Pros

The people on the ground floor are amazing and care about their work and keeping clients happy.

Cons

Fruition uses low-cost offshore labor for the majority of their development work. The in-house development team serves mainly as a facade to clients, pretending that everything is done in-house. In reality, the in-house team is tasked only with managing the offshore developers and maintaining their poor quality codebases. The compensation for all positions is far below industry averages in our locale, especially for women. Instead of paying fair wages, they like to offer "performance-based compensation." Essentially, it's a way for them to offer you less in salary with a vague promise of a bonus. The executive team is a boys club. They do not care about morale, professional growth or retention. Instead, they pour every ounce of effort into improving business valuation by finding ways to cut corners and getting people to work more hours.

Thank you for sharing. I'm glad you enjoyed the team, they are amazing and truly care about keeping clients happy. We are constantly meeting and brainstorming ways to improve the development team. Over the last 2 1/2 months we have made some big changes to the dev team, both leadership and team. Keeping the work on-shore and focusing on building quality in-house talent is absolutely key. The development team doesn't have a performance-based compensation element, curious about where this feedback is coming from. In addition, 60% of Fruition's business unit leadership team is led by an incredibly talented women. I will be sure to share this feedback directly with them and look for ways to make improvements. I would welcome the opportunity to learn more and dig further into your feedback to find ways to improve. Please feel open to call me direct. (720) 593-6531 Jim

Pros

Fruition's created a great place to build, grow, or expand your career. We have a lot of really talented individuals across all of our departments, and in our hiring, we work hard to ensure only the best make it on the team. We work with great clients, many who have been with us for over 5 years, and we are continuing to attract large companies with more complex development and marketing problems for our team to solve. Fruition offers competitive pay and benefits, and in my experience, management has always been supportive of frank conversation around the topic. Fruition just rolled out the possibility of ownership for individuals that make big contributions to the team and offers 401k matching for every employee -- these are huge. In my time with Fruition, I've also seen a lot of team members grow into more senior roles. One of the great things about working in a small/mid-size company is that you get the opportunity to grow with the company. At Fruition, if you set goals for yourself, share these goals with management, and work hard to make these things happen, management/ownership will help you get there. Fruition is a really exciting place to work right now. We've really grown a lot in the last five years. We're attracting top-talent and larger clients, and it's a great place to be.

Cons

I've been with Fruition for over five years and have seen the company go through a lot of changes. Growth and change don't come without some pain. We're going to continue to grow, and we'll continue to have to work through the challenges that come with it. In the end, we have a great team behind the scenes which will make it a fun journey. Also, Fruition is an agency with a lot of clients, a lot of deadlines, which all require a lot of collective hard work. This isn't a fit for everyone. If your goal is a 9 to 5 where you're not challenged on a daily basis, Fruition probably isn't a good fit.
