Thank you for the review! We have programs in place for folks of all levels to "grow faster than the company". Not sure if you were able to take advantage of GrowFS or LearnFS in your time here, both are great resources (even for more experienced folks) to continue to hone their skills.

No room for growth, no competitive pay and inexperienced leadership

Pros

- Marketing team was very close, had a ton of social activities planned, and weekly chats. - RRSP benefit matching - Unlimited vacation - Flexible with working hours

Cons

Does not have competitive pay or career advancement. After working there for over a year, they promise you raises and promotions and tell you to do A, B, C to get them. Once you do, they tell you that they don’t have the budget for promotions or other people need it more than you. This has happened over 3 times during my time with Fullscript. Instead of promoting their existing employees, they opt in to hire new talent to fill the positions where employees could have grown to. Every year the marketing team comes out with a new org structure, and every year there is no advancement or room for movement for current employees. Fullscript makes very rushed hires instead of taking the time to hire competent marketers and the majority of the org structure is made up of managers and directors with very few specialists on the team. As a result only a couple of people on the team actually know how to do marketing (and do all the work) and the rest are managers who act as coordinators. Leadership on the marketing team is very inexperienced which has been shown by multiple re-structures on the team, no work-life balance, and a severe lack of recognition for any of the marketing team's accomplishments. Leadership does not communicate issues or feedback to the rest of the Fullscript organization. Leadership does not respond well to feedback, and multiple times after employees have given feedback they have been told they are being “too negative” and to just "be happy about it". Basically, they tell you to shut up and smile about everything. Lastly, Fullscript claims they are very diverse but a majority of their board and leadership are white males. There have been many leadership roles open in the past year or two and still, they are not diverse.

Pros

You meet some cool people on your team.

Cons

Run by random metrics, nepotism, and favoritism. They are not interested in criticism when their employees can’t afford to eat. They will push you out if you’re not in the clique, regardless of your actual contribution to the job. Surpassing metrics may be rewarded with a $15 Starbucks card, but you have to crank out an obscene number of tickets in a competition with your team.
