Pros

fun atmosphere, cool office space, great engineers

Cons

no clear expectations are set, no professional development or grooming of new personnel, there always seems to be a fire to put out, there is a clear US vs. THEM mentality between senior leaders and rest of company. Completely rude and disrespectful managers who think they are smarter and better than employees

Fuse works hard to address the challenges presented by our rapidly growing startup environment, dynamic rapid development mindset, and pressures of meeting deadlines for development with unclear or changing requirements. We realize this can be frustrating and over the past two years we have instituted several mechanisms to facilitate communications and better planning for our team. While adapting to a combined remote and in-lab work schedule we have established 3 separate working groups focused on Communications and Vision, Opportunities and Mentorship, and Wellness. All team members are encouraged to participate in these working groups which provide an opportunity to have a voice in shaping in how our team grows to adapt to greater numbers with additional processes. These are action oriented groups – getting processes and avenues of communication in place to facilitate mentorship, career opportunities, and increased communication across all levels and aspects of our team. We welcome feedback and as we look back at our first ten years we realize that change can be hard. The next decade of Fuse is exciting as we continue to charge forward with an Agile mindset, a focus on the user, and a rapid prototyping process that is putting our products and solutions into the hands of the fleet. We continue to sprint, but have matured many processes to ensure we are working as a team, paying attention to our team and working together.

Pros

There's some good people here but then again there's good people at every company

Cons

This is not a serious place to do work. Management lives in a make believe world and is unable to get serious about what the company is actually capable of delivering. In reality this is just an example of why the DOD budgets are so full of waste. Funneling funding to small business just to have small business alive. None of these projects will ever see light of day. I'm sure there's going to be a response to this review with some sort of "we have deployed systems in the fleet" today....None of it is and ever will be operational because operational systems are not designed and engineered in the way this company "designs" anything. Management claims this is a "fast growing" company when the reality is that it's somewhere between shrinking and at best completely stalled out for at least 2 years now. Stop making up stuff and start being honest. Also stop planting fake reviews in here like the two below.

We appreciate you sharing your concerns. Fuse is a company of designers, creatives, and hard-working engineers. We are veterans and leaders, fathers and mothers. We take on hard challenges and love what we do. We believe in our team and our mission of warfighter-focused engineering and design. While we strive for a culture where everyone has a positive experience, we realize our fast-paced and agile development environment isn’t the right fit for everyone. We are always looking for individuals who thrive in a high level of autonomy, trust, and accountability and who espouse our core values.

Pros

Has a cool vibe initially

Cons

Poor and inexperienced management. They have no idea what they are doing and have no desire to keep the qualified employees that are leaving in flocks. When more than 25% of your staff leaves you would think management would realize there is a problem, let alone that they are the problem. They are completely unprofessional and out of touch with reality.

Fuse has seen incredible growth in the last two years and our team is working hard to accommodate all the changes involved. A fast-growing startup environment like ours presents unique challenges, and we acknowledge that the difficulties of a quickly growing startup can be frustrating for everyone. It is no secret that startup companies rely on individual team members to facilitate internal team growth to match company growth. With fast company growth and incoming business opportunities comes the necessity to constantly and quickly respond to customer needs, reassess company structure, initiate and change processes, and redelegate responsibilities to incoming team members in new positions. Our team is committed to rising to the occasion to meet these challenges. We are excited about our future growth potential and where we are going. We seek strong, committed, and passionate team members who can help take the lead and drive the necessary change that our company will require as we continue to grow. I am proud of our unique culture that is design-driven and focused on the end-user. We always encourage all team members to voice their opinions and ideas for solutions so that we can best address concerns, implement ideas for solutions, and ease pressures as they arise. Communication is key. We acknowledge that our company has not reached its fullest potential, and we are working hard as a team to get there as fast as we can. We thank you for your contributions to the team and wish you all the best. Respectfully, Sumner
