Work Culture Not Good

Pros

Flexibility of timings, a good learning curve, working in a new and upcoming area of technology, exposure to different domains and responsibilities as this is a start-up company.

Cons

Too much micro-management, no proper clarity about forward plan, delayed payments, hostile work environment, lack of trust

Pros

Mid-Sized team so you get decent responsibility, and at the same time projects are significant too. If you are a beginner non-CS major looking to gain experience in the Software industry, the lack of a overly competitive atmosphere will be helpful. There isn't a culture of one-upmanship in the team which is good.

Cons

Bottom notch senior management: 1) projects and contracts are selected poorly, 2) fiscal discipline is very poor, salaries are not given on time, bonus are non-existent even for the best performing employees. 3) Despite being in a cutting edge field, there is shocking lack of knowledge about new technology and there seems no desire to change this

Good product - poorly managed

Pros

Many people are nice and helpful. Work is interesting and team is small - there is a lot of scope for innovation and ownership.

Cons

Company is financially unstable and there is a general lack of planning and management all around. The interests of employees are given low priority. Delayed salaries, no bonuses. No reward for hard work and no reprimand for lousy work. Nepotism and mediocrity promoted not professionalism and excellence. Office environment is demotivating and encourages laziness and dishing out your work to other people. If you are a smooth talker, you can make rapid progress as compared to someone who is sincere and works hard. Management lacks credibility. They keep making promises to the employees but never fulfill promises. This led to environment of mistrust. No employee trust anything from management.
