Pros

Not enough to overlook the cons.

Cons

Any high rated review you'll see for Fuzzy is either fake or it was asked to be written because they're having trouble hiring people. Pay rate is a joke! Not not only do they not pay you enough, they don't pay you on time and it's usually the incorrect amount. They make promises of bonuses and promotions and have no follow through. Some teams work tons of hours into overtime and get no recognition or compensation. These are NOT your typical start up growing pains. They pretend that they're transparent, but it's really just an excuse to act however they want and get away with bad behavior. They throw each other under the bus when they don't get their way, and there's no constructive criticism, just negative reinforcement. Not to mention inappropriate flirting. Constantly. It's a terrible working environment. Don't be fooled by their cute puppies and kittens and the promise to help animals in need. There are other companies in the same industry doing so much more. tl;dr: Don't work at Fuzzy, it's awful.

Pros

The mission of making vet care affordable is powerful and some people really believe in it.

Cons

A lot of leadership uncertainty, not sure who really is the CEO making decisions and why decisions are made, because everything changes. A lot of pressure on numbers and no attention is paid to the experience of employees. There is no sense of teamwork or happiness because everyone is scared of losing their job and there is no software to actually do the job.

Pros

- You get to know members and their pets and will be happy to do whatever it takes to delight them - There are some hardworking people here - Pet friendly office!!

Cons

The number of glowing reviews here are fake and written to give the impression that working at fuzzy is wonderful and fun but they are misleading and dishonest. Don’t get me wrong there are good days here but there is alot of truth in the 1 star ratings just fyi. Our app is pretty janky and the mobile teams always get blamed when things go bad. The leadership team that are still here lack vision and focus and blame each other for mistakes. Oh and we replaced our CEO earlier this year because things were a mess but then he come back two months later and we are supposed to pretend none of the bad stuff from before ever happened? It’s like a bad relationship - CEO is out of touch with employees. - Toxic CYA culture so expect to be blamed and shamed when things go wrong even if it is not your fault it truly brings out the worst in some good people. - Low pay and no career development. - We have trouble hiring and keeping good talent. Several members of leadership team have left this year and at least one candidate rejected our job offer after meeting with our CEO...wtf

Hi there, Zubin here. Thanks for the feedback and I'm deeply sorry that we have not succeeded in creating a company or culture that you feel creates an opportunity for you to be successful. Candidly, there was a culture previously where leaders in the team did not want to be held accountable and there was a CYA attitude rather than focusing on business progress, and unrest was used as a mask for mediocre performance. As a result, two of the previous leadership team were transitioned out of the company and we mutually agreed with our previous Head of Health that Fuzzy was no longer a fit for him (coincidentally his wife is now excelling in the role as his successor). You're right, we had a weird dystopian environment earlier this year, we're trying really hard to bounce back from it - the only way we can do that is to have those that are still at the company committed to making things better. Holding on to the past actually hinders that, but we are for sure learning from the past to rebuild in the right way, We're still undergoing a process of rebuilding. We've made a huge, conscious effort to address the challenges that existed in the company before, and will continue to work to this end - our AMA's, Company All Hands and Company Offsite meetings asked for feedback on how we can continue this path of improvement. The final interview with me in the interview process is all about gauging for culture fit. I try and be very candid about what life at a startup is like, and that being successful here will take grit, perseverance and really hard work. Sometimes this reality makes people realize that this isn't a fit. We've made mistakes with culture fit before and this is one of the things I'm trying to course correct through this process. We've also brought some incredible talent on board recently across healthcare, operations and engineering teams. In addition, we've promoted star performers and given them the autonomy to do great things. I can say without doubt that the leadership team are working their *sses off in trying to course correct and build for the long haul. We want everyone that's here today to be here in 5 years - if you don't feel like that is you, then I fully accept that we have failed you in creating a path for you to thrive, and I personally would happy to help in any way in finding somewhere that may be a better fit. I'm deeply sorry and saddened that we've failed you in creating a path for success and happiness at Fuzzy. All that said, you're still with us and part of the team at Fuzzy - if you're open to working with me in addressing your concerns, I'd happily sit with you and talk through these concerns w you.
