Company doesn't value the needs of the development team
Pros
- Very inclusive and diverse company - Working at something that has a positive impact to this world - Personal development budget and some company events - Good equipment and personal choices are considered - Free lunch/fruits at the office
Cons
- Company doesn't understand that it has became a tech company. - No willingness to invest into a strong development team. - Upper management doesn't understand the needs of developers. - Monotonous, periodic work through product cycles. - Some developers had 250 hours of uncompensated overtime within 10 months due to mismanagement and the constant hunt of deadlines. (Including requests to work on weekends, which also stayed uncompensated) - The "No time for anything" approach created a massive tech debt which will only resolve if the dev team can dedicate time for this. Instead of working on these things to keep the developer happy, management runs with "let's do it tomorrow, we must fix something today" approach. - Average salary
