Pros

They do have a strong culture and have maintained it even through tremendous growth. Flexible allowed me to work remotely and management is easy to work with for the most part.

Cons

The director of Managed services isn't thorough at all I was put on a PIP and one would think before you put someone especially a single parent on a PIP that you would do your homework right??? Wrong that did not happen and he claimed I closed 10 tickets the previous week I assured him he had a made a terrible mistake turns out that I had actually closed 33 tickets NOT 10 he apologized and granted there were other factors like documentation and customer feedback which contributed to the PIP not just ticket numbers but that's not the point !! This is supposed to be a director ???? Shouldn't he follow the 100% Accountability 0% excuses that Gadellnet Preaches so much that all employees have to follow ?? I'm just saying if you look at the review from "Aug 23, 2014 Review from Tier II Engineer" for the most part it's on point. This isn't intended to be or come off as a bitter ex-employee angle but I think it's important that people know. At the end of the day it's business I just think it's terribly uncompassionate that an employee who had given you almost 2 years of service and needs just two days to calm down from the stress of being put on a botched PIP instead of working with them Gadellnet turns around and fires them the next day ?? Is that the Gadellnet family atmosphere you promote ?? Overall my experience believe it or not has been positive I just hate the way it was handled at the end... it was handled like a cold blooded fortune 500 business and that's not what Gadellnet is or so I thought !

Thanks for the feedback. We've, now, added another HR review step in our PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) process to ensure accuracy and detail in those reports. Our HR Manager will be reviewing, closely, all documents that are used for Performance Improvement.

Pros

Working at GadellNet has been an life changing adventure. I remember being really miserable in my career before applying to GadellNet. I remember apply to GadellNet along with several other places. It was time for a change. My bosses at the time were nice people, however, there was zero growth potential and barely any training opportunities. When I applied, the CEO reached out to me and we chatted for awhile. It was one of the most down to earth conversations I have had with a potential employer. I joined GadellNet because I believe in our core values. I have grown as a professional in our industry and I love the clients that we serve. I bleed blue (our company colors) and I do so by choice. Life is what you make it and so is this company. You can either sit on the sidelines and not give it 100% or you can decide to make an impact on your clients and community. We have great opportunities to train in our areas of interest and to grow in our career with the company. Good time management skills and good time value are key for any job anywhere. How you balance your work & personal life is your decision. No one at this company forces you to extra long hours and not have a life. We have flexible time and I love the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week. I went back to school this year and the company has been cheering me on. I think the PTO is generous and the health insurance is much less than I have ever paid for my family. Our company is a family environment and we care about each other’s well being. The CEO is by far still one of my favorite people in the company because of the culture he has strived to create and he is just a great person to be around. There are not many places that have down to earth and super nice C-level executives who know your name and takes the time to speak with you. I can ask the CTO questions and he is always willing to share his teach you or share his knowledge. I never get the brush off. My boss is the best one I have ever had because he listens and actually will work side by side with us if we need an extra hand. All and all it is a very good place to work. We make a positive impact on our in our community services and our community is a better place because of our company. I look forward to many more years with GadellNet.

Cons

It's the IT industry so it is going to be hard work, however, we are making a positive impact on our clients and community. Hard always work pays off!
