Pros

I have worked here for three years, and love the environment. Everyone is motivated to further the company's mission, and provide the most accurate genomic test for prostate cancer on the market. The product pipeline is well-thought out, and I think that the company has a very promising future. I have never worked with a brighter, more motivated group.

Cons

I wouldn't exactly call it a con, but you have to be prepared to work hard, and to work in a collaborative environment where people have ideas and opinions, and where they are encouraged to express them. Personally, I love the environment, but you have to be on your toes to work here.

Pros

Pay is decent. Benefits are great. Sometimes there's free food - we even get to have the leftovers the executives order for themselves any time they have a meeting! (sarcasm) That's about all as far as positives are concerned.

Cons

There is no formal training. Processes are needlessly complicated. Workload is imbalanced and pay is unfair (certain departments are asked to cover and do a lot of work for departments that make significantly more, on average). Turnover is high. Plain and simple, the company is poorly run - at least as far as middle to high-middle management is concerned. The only people who know enough specifics about the ineptitude of higher ups are either benefiting from it or are too scared to lose their job to say anything. It's telling enough that anyone in the company is willing to take the time to post something so long and so negative (see below). If you're thinking of working in the San Diego office in a commercial operations department [Accessioning (which should be under lab operations...), Billing, Customer Support, Eligibility, Logistics, Procurement, Sales Support], save yourself the headache, anxiety, and frustration that I and many others deal with every day. Find somewhere else to work; there's no shortage of biotech companies to work for in San Diego. Every day here feels wasted and unsatisfying.

Pros

The products this company has are great, very beneficial to patient care.

Cons

Horrible, horrible managment. Nobody knows what they are doing. Worse than high school with all of the drama and gossiping. I have never dealt with such immature, horrible people. Department is being run into the ground.
