Pros

Store manager and staff were fun to work with.

Cons

Just about everything. No benefits, abysmal pay, the owners are absolutely no help and micromanage you from their home office as they watch the cameras. There is no career growth opportunities. Extremely racist and prejudice, consistently raising their profit margins without helping the employees. Refused to schedule more than one person to close weekends, even after the store was continually targeted for theft.

Pros

Managers get the weekends off. I like Sofi, the lady in the commissary office. And their premade food is actually pretty good quality, if not a little bland.

Cons

Honestly? It's just not a very great job. There's thousands of places just like Go Grocer that are more competently run. It's run by a big family so you know, there's nobody up top telling the owners that their ideas are bad & there's little to no upward mobility. Pay isn't great. Owners are either micromanaging your store or completely neglecting it. You know, THOSE types. Work at Whole Foods. At least Jeff Bezos has an HR team.

Pros

Staff is small so you'll always have 40 hours or more

Cons

Benefits? 16 stores and no health coverage after a pandemic. Expect abuse and casual racism. Number one question after a theft is if the shoplifter was Black. No consistent scheduling and no measures to protect cashiers who work into midnight.
