I worked at Good Energy full-time

    Pros

Most of the people are amazing, really committed and hard working. The mission of the organisation is easy to sign up to.

    Cons

Chaotic working atmosphere, no strategic planning, too many meetings, overbearing micro-management, no trust, rely too much on goodwill expecting staff to take on more than is appropriate, misaligned budgets, contradictory targets, poor customer focus! Ignore signs of stress.

I worked at Good Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Near to train station Near to town centre

    Cons

Good Energy is now a shrinking company and has been shedding its workforce rapidly during the course of 2017 or losing staff in their droves on their own accord. The company is managed by incompetent managers unable to actually manage people that have a cultural problem with taking ownership of anything. The company's CEO focuses on the ethical image of the company rather than it's failings which are poor legacy systems back in the dark ages, and lack of training of staff which is the fundamental biggest cause of problems today. Good Energy has made a series of bad decisions over the years which has meant it is failing it's customers by producing error ridden bills and poor customer service. Damage has been done! Avoid this company for employment.

    I worked at Good Energy

    Pros

The people, on the whole, are the greatest asset Good Energy has. The vast majority want to do a good job but morale is plummeting and you have many good people leaving now.

    Cons

Look to the very top of the company to see the biggest problem. Lack of decision making, too much power in one person, not focusing on what made Good Energy actually good. The company are not seen in a good light by the rest of the industry. This is leadership who don't actually live the values they say they do.

I worked at Good Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Co workers are very friendly, just never to sure which ones you can trust.

    Cons

This company is failing. They are apparently 'restructuring' making all loyal hardworking staff 'redundant' , then hiring replacements under slightly different job titles, Managers, people that have worked there for years and new employees. No current or new staff should feel safe. They have no idea what they are doing and lie through there teeth to hide it. I thought i was working for a small local business with good ethics and a goal to improve the environment. That may have been the case but not anymore good energy has stopped caring about its employees and customers and is turning into a corporate money driven company. Dont be fooled by the name and idea its all fake. They should just sell the whole thing to Dale Vince at Ecotricaty and be done with it.
