Pros

Goodyear pays well. Salary structure is good. If you just want to earn money in your life, then this is the company meant for you. Else, just forget this company!

Cons

There is no end to how much I can write here. But let me note down key points: 1) No career: There is no career path here. You may be hired for a particular role, but you will end up doing any dirty work. The organization will "use" you as per its need. Take it or leave it. At least this will be the case in the Farm PBU. And the best part is - everyone may be where about your condition but no one will bother. 2) Horrible culture in Farm PBU - The leadership uses abusive language in meeting room. You may be scolded for any reason, there wont be any self respect. Also, there is no work life balance. You should be ready to expect call from the PBU head during weekend and if you miss the call, then you are gone. Disrespect and abusive language is common. Also, there is culture of hire and fire. You will feel insecure as leadership does not have much clarity. 3. There is a clear demarcation between leadership and rest of employees. Leadership does not have food with employees and instead have it in meeting rooms. Similarly, there is a separate washroom for leaders. To meet senior leaders, you need to approach their secretaries. I believe, these examples will be good enough to give you a sense of GY's culture? 4. Lack of focus on T&D and employee engagement. There is hardly any focus on fun activity or engaging with employees for non-work aspects. The only thing this org worry about is numbers (volume, revenues, EBIT). This is what you will keep hearing 24*7. 5. Not much facilities in office. Canteen, toilets etc. are extremely small. In canteen, you will only get to eat bread/butter, biscuits, and chips throughout the year. 6. Leadership does not have clarity (at least in Farm PBU): No focus on T&D, no international exposure, you will do anything or everything, you will experience lies almost everyday, no focus on marketing, no focus on business strategies. Still, they expect you to perform well! Ridiculous! The organization is into existence just because of Goodyear's global brand name. Mind you, if you would have been in Goodyear - US or Europe, things may be drastically better. At least, that's what my experience says.
