Pros

A lot of great people somehow seem to end up here. Because it's small you get to be involved in a more hands on way. Health insurance is amazing. Things chance fast, maybe in a year this company can overcome it's growing pains. Could be a great first job for someone right out of school.

Cons

Management is all over the place and they play fast and loose with your commissions. Don't work here if you need to actually support yourself or need a reliable amount of money in your paycheck. Projected commissions outline is hugely misleading and inaccurate. No real handbook or HR department, no recourse. No upper mobility or continuing education/development benefits.

Pros

Decent colleagues. Flexible schedule. They provide basic amenities to their workers. Water (no hot water, mind you) and two single stall restrooms (male and unisex) for a building that holds 30+ employees. Air Conditioning is provided, although it reeks mold or mildew resulting in employees getting sick. Health and dental are provided.

Cons

Questionable ethics. As mentioned in previous reviews, management is a mess. They do not value your time away from work. You are expected to work beyond your "scheduled hours". If you're sick, they expect you to work from home also. Workload varies from time to time and management has a difficult time grasping the idea of how much time and resources need to be given to cases (whether through calls, e-mails, ticketing system, or forums). There have been several instances when you're about to take off for the day, but called back in for an impromptu meeting or training session; this can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour after your work day is supposed to be complete. Absurd. There seems to be a power struggle within the regions the Support Department. Work plans and schedules are presented, then objected among the managers, which causes confusion among the subordinates. You are also thrown into the fire and expected to understand the product "on the fly." Training is abysmal, or better yet, lacking. You do not get a sense of pride or accomplishment from working here. Teamwork is encouraged, but if an issue arises on an escalated case, you are isolated and ridiculed even after you have gone through the appropriate steps of notifying management or chain of command. HR is non-existent. Issues with pay seem to go unresolved. My paycheck was late more than 5 times; the latest being 1 week past the pay date. E-mails and calls to "payroll department" results in more questions than answers. Low pay compared to similar positions. To reiterate, there is, indeed, a waste bucket right next to the water cooler. Employees dump old coffee, tea (including tea leaves), and whatever you can imagine. There have been times when dairy products like yogurt have been dumped in the bin. Also, instead of resolving the ant infestation professionally, management seems to take joy in 'DIY' alternatives. You will see random cans of raid, packages of borax, and a bowl of dead ants that have been there for over a year. There have been cases when ants were infesting the water cooler itself. Once you dispense water, the ants start swarming out... directly into your cup. As mentioned, air conditioning and ventilation problems exist. I was sidelined several times due to upper respiratory related illnesses on more than one occasion. To sum things up, the unsanitary office atmosphere caused various illnesses I have rarely encountered in numerous workplaces. In regards to the restrooms... for the longest time, there was a plumbing issue in one of the two restrooms. Once that restroom is put out of commission due to leaking toilets, only one restroom is left to service the whole building. Have fun standing in line. If a male uses the "unisex" restroom, the females immediately want to lock that up.
